![]() Many creators and builders don't have a clue about minimizing their lag - many probably don't care beyond LI, which is a poor measure. Now some of the issues -are- user-generated too. Lower your draw distance and set your LOD setting back to 2.0. No amount of "optimization" will fix that. ![]() That in itself is always going to cause lag because there's no way you can make SL work like a game does. There's not much pre-caching, no pre-rendering work taking place, etc. Doubly so because of the nature of SL - the system generates what it's told on the spot, and always has to assume the worst, because everything's user-generated. And its use of HTML for textures is always going to suck. Of course the SL engine is very old, and tends to make use of the CPU more than the GPU - that often creates problems.
